Opportunities galore! Right now!

Alongside the new TheatreLab street theatre workshops that began last night and are taking place over the next five Wednesdays (and other times), and the Auditions Masterclass coming up on the 29th (and Nov 6th) we mentioned in our previous post, there are some great opportunities for young performers and theatre makers right now: Like RIGHT NOW!

1. For Serious emerging professionals:

JUMP mentoring programme: Already the largest artist mentoring program nationally, the 2012 program features the highest number of mentorship places on offer yet in the program. APPLICATIONS CLOSE SOON!!

JUMP artists are supported to undertake a one on one mentorship with a leading professional of their choice, focused on a funded creative project.

JUMP artists also access online profiling and professional development opportunities, and significantly expand their national network during the 10-month mentorship period.

JUMP is serious about championing our nation’s next generation of arts industry leaders, and ensuring that geography and cultural diversity are no barrier to identifying and promoting artistic excellence.

Performance and Theatre Mentors Needed!

The Steampunk Sideshow project is underway, and we have a great team of young performers on board and a smoking hot steampunk castle set under construction!

We are now calling out for eight experienced performance/theatre mentors to join the team and perform alongside the young crew in our Tim Burton inspired show.

With roles including The Unfortunate Teller and The Umbilical Twins of Order and Chaos this is a chance to get your teeth into some fun and frantic street theatre!

This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with awarded director Marisa Garreffa and local theatre maker Arielle Gray. You can also take on a lead role in front of 75,000 people at the Beaufort Street Festival.

With three rehearsals left to go (Sundays 2-5pm) we need you now!

If you are an experienced performer aged 18-26 yrs, please contact Lex Randolph, Project Development Officer at Propel Youth Arts WA on 0414 933 225 or lex@propel.org.au
