Members can apply for any or all of these opportunities immediately. Membership of WAYTCo is only $25 a year and you can apply here

Auditions for FIRE are filling up fast. This new play written by a team of members under the tutelage of award winning writer Hellie Turner is a wild romp of decadent partying by a group of young people camping out to celebrate the end of formal education and the beginning of independent life. Things get out of hand and the party turns out to be much more than anyone expected. To audition, fill out the form here

600 Seconds is an opportunity to train, collaborate, devise and present new work at the Blue Room during the FRINGEWORLD festival. We will be putting together an ensemble that will make challenging, thought provoking pieces.

Contacting the World is an event we’re applying to be a part of. A group of 8-10 young people will engage in a process of making a performance, inspired by material provided by a group of young people in another part of the world, facilitated by an artist from a different part of the world, supported by staff at WAYTCo. This group will create work which will be presented in Western Australia before flying to Manchester, UK to take part in a week long celebration of youth theatre companies in July 2014.

While we’re working out the details of 600 seconds and Contacting the World, feel free to comment on this post or email adam “at” waytco “dot” com to let us know you’re keen to find out more. We’ll make sure you are one of the first to get the lowdown and be invited to apply.

We also offer training in acting, theatre, creating work and specific performing arts skills. Our Sunday acting training runs regularly thoughout the year, we are just starting a season of Acting Masterclasses and we have an audition workshop coming up. Training and skills development are very important for aspiring actors.
