Meet the 10 members of ENSEMBLE 600

We have a new and exciting ensemble of theatre makers who are soon to start working on short performances to present in The Blue Room Theatre’s ‘600 Seconds’ season as part of the Fringe World festival 2014


Alyssa Burton

Alyssa has completed a degree in Film and Television at Curtin University. She has been singing for three and a half years, and presently takes regular lessons to hone a musical theatre style. Alyssa also participates in Hills Dance Group (tap, jazz, ballet).  Involved in the Perth community theatre scene since 2010, making her début in Wanneroo Limelight’s Jesus Christ Superstar (ensemble). Since then she has appeared in a number of theatre productions such as Joseph And The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat (ensemble), the WA premier of Sunset Boulevard (Astrologer, ensemble), Miss Marple: A Murder Is Announced (Mitzi), The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas (Ginger), Hairspray (Dynamite) and Cinderella (Fairy Godmother).


Daley King

Currently studying Theatre and Film at Murdoch University in Perth, works at Nexus Theatre professionally as a technician and mechanist. Performer at Second Chance Theatre (SCT- 4 of their full-length productions written and directed by the Artistic Director, Scott McArdle. Currently directing SCT’s newest show ‘Waste’, which explores various new ideas, including transmedia.  With Murdoch toured Shakespeare (The Winter’s Tale) to Malaysia with the university’s support.


Emily David

Emily studied Dance 3a/b and Drama 3a/b and currently studying a double major in Law/Theatre and Drama at Murdoch University. Attended improvisation and vocal/movement training workshops at the Oxford School of Drama whilst touring the UK with Redfoot Youth Theatre. Currently rehearsing for FIRE a WAYTCo Production, directed by Will O’Mahony (2013)

Jamie Munslow-Davies

Hailing from the bustling metropolis of Armadale, Western Australia comes 16 year old Jamie Mykaela Munslow-Davies; a budding young actress, musician, and filmmaker. Jamie has been singing since a very young age and decided to start vocal training at the age of 8. She has performed at various school events since then. In 2009 she started street performing in Perth City, singing a capella showtunes in Hay St. Mall. In 2012, Jamie graduated from Stage Door School of Performing Arts with a Certificate in Music Theatre, appeared in Coventry Square’s Busker of The Year competition, released her first EP online, and taught herself ukulele and guitar. However 2013 has treated her well by giving her a part-time job as a filmographer for Perth’s own Fat Shan Records and a lead role as Velma Von Tussle in Murdoch College Drama Company’s sell out production of John Waters’ Hairspray.


Layla Angove

After being involved as part of a circus troupe and National dance group growing up, Layla is not new to the stage. For the past few years Layla’s focus has been on her acting, since debuting in her first feature film last year, Layla’s career had really taken off this year landing a position performing regularly for starlight children’s foundation, starring in a lead role in another feature film directed by us director/ writer Douglas Lawler, “midnight ticket”.As well as various other film, and ad campaigns. As a young performer she aspires to take her career as far as she can, but performs purely for the love of the craft.


Nic Doig

Nic recently graduated from John Curtin college of the Arts (GATE Drama stream) and is already working professionally as a director for the college. Has been attending acting workshops at WAYTCo for many years and was cast in our most recent production ‘Another Twin’


Nicole Pearce

Nicole studied Bachelor of Arts (Performing Arts) / Bachelor of Education (Secondary) ECU Mt Lawley 2013 and took a playwriting workshop with Angela Betzien, a directing workshop with Blak Yak taking many other courses after completing the Performing Arts Program at Mount Lawley Senior High School. She has been director and Performer at The One Act Festival at Garrick and DramaFest at The Old Mill Theatre, Drama workshop facilitator, La Salle Boarding College, Performer, Protection V Infection, Fringe World, The Vagina Monologues, The Old Mill Theatre, Performer, Hoods


Rosie Oldham

Rosie completed a NIDA short course in acting, completed a contemporary music performance short course with WAAPA. Studied Drama 3A/3B and Music (Western) 3A/3B at Perth College. Currently completing a Bachelor of Education, majoring in drama. Performed with Guildford Grammar with performances of “Grease” (2012 and “Stories from Suburban Road” (2011). 2012 Perth College Drama Honours, 2011 Perth College Dance & Drama Recognition, 2008 West Australian Performing Arts Eisteddfod: 16 & U Monologues 1st Place


Olivia Finlay

Olivia studied at the Actors Studio with WAYTCo, musical theatre skills at the Australian Performing Arts Network, acting courses through Acting Classes in Perth and the Perth Actors Collective, dance classes at The Dance Workshop and audition skills masterclass -WAAPA. Recently she performed in the role of Martha Brinham in WAYTCo’s “Another Twin,” and played Connie Subbotin in the Playlovers musical “Curtains.”


Brendan Ellis

Brendan studied Bachelor Secondary Education and Bachelor of Performance Studies (Drama Studies) from 2008-2009 as well as screen acting workshops. Now assists in workshops regularly as acting coach. Member of Perth Playback Theatre since January 2013 – attends and assists with regular improvisational training and workshops. Directing: A Conversation – Drama – Director. Old Mill Theatre (2013), Face to Face (2012). Received adjudicator’s certificate for Encouragement in Direction at Finley Awards, Half of What you Were (2011). Won award for “Most Innovative Production” at 2011 ITA Dramafest. Acting: Sex Toys(2013) – Comedy – Lead role (“Bobby”). Darlington Theatre Players. WIND(2012) – Devised – Lead role (“Robert”). WAYTCO. Rottnest After Dark: The Visitation(2012) – Scooplight Theatre.
