Renato  Renato Fabretti  – Artistic DirectorRenato graduated as an actor from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts in 2005. He has starred in numerous shows for  Deckchair Theatre Company’s, the State Theatre Company of South Australia – and has been awarded the Equity Guild Award as Best Supporting Actor, a nomination for Best Newcomer and a Horatio Award as Best Supporting Actor in King Lear in the role of ‘Edmund’ opposite John Gaden and Victoria Longley. He has toured for Bell Shakespeare across SA/WA/NT and NSW. While working as an actor Renato has also managed and directed his own company independent theatre company This One Show delivering multi award-winning hit like Motortownby Simon Stephens, Ian Wilding’s October and the recent production of HEDDA, a new adaptation ofHedda Gabler Renato wrote, directed and performed in for the Blue Room Theatre. In film and television Renato has appeared in Underbelly, All-Saints MRU and in cinemas in Two Fists, One HeartThe Director’s Cut and the upcoming web-series Greenfield and Zac & Me.Cutting his teeth as an assistant director on the award-winning new Australian play Whore at B-Sharp Belvoir, Renato continued to direct Dennis Kelly’s DNA and Jane Bodie’s Mine for the WA Youth Theatre Company, and as an Artist in Resident for Curtin University staged Neil La Bute’s The Distance From Here. Renato has recently completed a post-graduate in Directing at the National Institute of Dramatic Arts and is currently working several new film projects as writer and producer while working with young local companies like The Cutting Room Floor to place their works in new and exciting performance spaces across Perth.
James Nerva2 James “Jimmie” Nerva- General Manager.James has worked in the arts for many years in both venue management, theatre production, local government, events and television & video production.His work in performing arts industry includes Venue Manager for the Walkington Theatre (Karratha) and Mandurah Performing Arts Centre, and production and administration roles with Perth Theatre Co, Black Swan State Theatre Co, ThinIce Productions. Garreth Bradshaw

Garreth Bradshaw – Interim Education Officer A long time member of WAYTCo as student, performer and emerging director, Garreth has been chief acting tutor for our workshops for four years. Now an emerging professional director and producer with Upstart Theatre Company at PSAS Fremantle, Garreth still teaches and directs our Core Skills and Ensemble classes.

Malcolm Moore

CHAIR Malcolm Moore trained as a drama teacher in London before migrating to Melbourne where he taught and then lectured in drama and Theatre in Education for seven years. He was appointed Artistic Director of the Magpie State Theatre in Education Company based in Adelaide’s Festival Centre. Subsequently he became the first Artistic Director of the bi-annual ‘Come Out’ youth arts festival. In 1987 he was appointed Head of Arts Management at WAPPA before accepting the role of Director of Marketing and Programming with the Perth Theatre Trust prior to his appointment as General Manager of the Black Swan Theatre, and finally becoming Director of Excitement at Scitech. He has served on the Theatre Board of the Australia Council and the Board of Heathway.
Marianne Hobson DEPUTY CHAIR Marianne Hobson works for Xponential Philanthropy – the Big Gift Specialists raising millions of dollars for not-for-profit organisations throughout Australia and New Zealand. Previously with the West Australian Opera, Sydney Dance Company and Fremantle Arts Centre in marketing and sponsorship, Marianne combines the vibrancy of youth with the executive drive and ambition of a corporate professional.
WEB-Alison-1 HON SECRETARY Alison Morley is currently the CEO at Brumby Resources, an ASX listed junior exploration company exploring for manganese, gold and base metals at various project locations in WA and NT.  Alison has 16 years’ experience in operations, consultancy and management in various companies in the resources sector.  Alison has Honours and Masters degrees in Geology, a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and is graduate of the AICD Company Directors’ Course.
Alison’s NFP experience includes two years as Chair of the WIMnet committee – a national group which focuses on encouraging the attraction and retention of women to the resources sector; active involvement in numerous regional Women in Mining groups and initiatives; a member of the Minerals Research Advisory Committee for MRIWA and member of the WA Finsia Regional Council. She also acts as a mentor in several formal and informal mentoring programmes.
Robyn Sermon Robyn Sermon has fourteen years experience in Government, Media and Community Relations, and prior to her current role she managed Community Relations for Comalco in Gladstone (Queensland). Originally from WA, Robyn has previously worked for WMC and Rio Tinto including time with Argyle Diamonds and Hamersley Iron. Having trained as a journalist, she has also worked for a non-profit organisation, the media and as a Ministerial Media Advisor in the Federal Government.
VeronicaLake Veronica Lake has been a teacher of English Literature, including the works of Shakespeare, for most of her lengthy teaching career.“There are people who shape your world. People who completely change the direction of your life. Veronica Lake is one of those people.” ( Awarded a Churchill Fellowship in 2009 to study international theatre companies and their approaches toward making modern, vibrant and meaningful connection between the works of Shakespeare and young people in the 21st Century
Youth Members
Hannah Rice is originally from Mt Tom Price in regional Western Australia and has been a WAYTCo member for some years. She has been cast through open audition to be in productions such as ‘Tears’, ‘Life of Galileo’ and most recently ‘Wind’. Hannah is also an up and coming comedian and impro-comedy specialist.
BrendanEllis Brendan Ellis is a keen advocate of youth theatre arts and has been involved in community theatre in Perth for some years. Brendan was cast in ‘Wind’ in 2012 and is keen to develop close links between community and professional theatre links for young people.
Nic Doig Nic Doig is our newest and youngest board member. Nic has been a regular participant in WAYTCo acting courses for some years. Although Nic only graduated from John Curtin College of the Arts last year, he is already being paid to work with the school as a professional director/tutor. Nic starred in the 2013 production ‘Another Twin’
